Amanda is a professionally trained English actress who lived many years in Manchester after growing up in the leafy, southern countryside of Buckinghamshire, England. Whilst working in Finland, she met a man who is now her husband. She relocated to Helsinki in 2022 where they currently reside. She was born in Durban, South Africa to her father, a computer software consultant from London, and her mother, a Secretarial Administrator from Newcastle. Although she carries his Polish surname, she is yet to visit her grandfather’s homeland!
She played upon her heritage when she was cast as the Polish/Swedish Viking Queen Sigrid the Haughty for the Jorvik Viking Festival, the largest of its kind in the world. She has a keen interest in independent film and has been particularly inspired by the works of film maker Richard Linklater and writer David Mamet. Short, independent film Tory Baby was awarded the silver medal at the London Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival where she played the female lead Meadow. She is a long standing member of Equity and has served on the committee as the Social Secretary of the Greater Manchester and Region General Branch.
Amanda continues to work across all fields of the industry including film, television, stage, street theatre, musical, commercial, voice over and presenting.
